Methodology
How claims on the Anime Porn chat page are sourced, dated and kept current. Every rule, price and regulatory fact on that page traces back to one of the source types below.
Source order
Sources are not equal. From heaviest to lightest:
- Platform rules and policies. Help centers, terms of service, community guidelines and privacy notices. On the main page this covers Character.AI's help center, Mega Nova's community guidelines and Candy AI's Privacy Notice. When rules and marketing disagree, the rules win.
- Platform pricing and FAQ pages. Public pricing pages, FAQs and dedicated anime sections, such as Candy AI's homepage and FAQ, OurDream's homepage, anime page and pricing, and LuckyLove's homepage. Prices are quoted as shown, with the billing conditions next to them.
- Regulators and legislation. Primary texts and case files, such as the UK Online Safety Act 2023 on legislation.gov.uk and Ofcom's investigation file on Novi Ltd.
- Platform marketing claims. Homepage promises about memory, privacy or encryption. These are quoted as the platform's own claim and flagged when nothing in the platform's policies backs them up.
What is not used
Review sites, affiliate comparison pages and "best of" lists are not used as sources for rules, prices or regulation. They repeat each other, rarely date their figures and often keep old prices for months. If a fact appears only on a review site, it does not appear on this site. What the site is and who runs it is on the about page.
Dating every claim
LuckyLove's homepage was checked on November 2, 2026, and the other sources on the main page on October 16, 2026, and the page says so next to the claims that change most often: prices, content rules and regulatory status. AI anime porn platforms reprice and rewrite their rules often, so an undated price is treated as unreliable.
Marketing vs rules
Where a homepage promise goes further than the platform's own policy, the page quotes both and says which one to trust. Two examples from the main page: a monthly price that only applies with a single yearly charge, and an encryption promise that sits awkwardly with an AI that has to read messages to answer them.
Adult content standard
Coverage describes characters as adults only, and character archetypes describe personality, not age. Content that sexualises minors, non-consensual scenes and explicit content involving real public figures are not covered, described or linked, in line with the bans the platforms themselves publish. The 18+ gate is covered on the age verification page and images on the site in the 2257 statement.
Freshness and revision
The main page is re-checked at least every 90 days and sooner when a platform changes prices, rules or age checks, or when a regulator opens or closes a case. When a page changes, its dateModified is updated. The datePublished value never changes, so the original publication date stays on record.
Corrections
Verified corrections lead to an edit on the affected page, an entry in the log on the editorial policy page and a dateModified update. Target turnaround is seven working days. Anything you send is handled under the privacy policy and the terms of service.
Use of AI tools
AI tools may help summarise long policy documents during research. Every claim that reaches the page is checked against the primary source it cites, because AI summaries get dates, prices and quotes wrong too often to publish unchecked.
